Fall Fashion

With fall right around the corner, a lot of penguins will be changing their fashion. Fall can be a bit tricky. Dressing for fall doesn't mean dressing in fall colors (red, yellow, brown) but wearing something more suited for fall then in summer.

There a lot of options for fall. Things like jeans and hoodies are great for fall.

Take a look at the penguin to the right. Notice how she's wearing jeans, and a simple sweater covering her top. Also, she's wearing a scarf that compliments the outfit. That is ideal for fall.

Fall Tips:

• Dresses are also good for fall, as long as they have good coverage.
• Tops without pants and sleeves are not good for fall.Tops should at least have short sleves.
• A boa or a scarf is good for fall, however if you wear a boa in the summer you may want to consider switching to a scarf.

Sunglasses and Boas explained

Right now (especially on abominable) it's extremely common to see penguins with sunglasses and boas. But why exactly? It's a bit more complicated then you think.

The picture on the right shows a penguin without sunglasses or a boa, and the picture below shows a penguin with sunglasses and a boa. You can already see the difference. The penguin looks better with sunglasses and a boa, but why?

First, I'll go over then sunglasses. Notice how on the right picture that the penguin's eyes are bit.. awkward. That's where the sunglasses come in. The sunglasses cover the eyes, therefore making the penguin look better.

The boa is a bit more complicated to explain. You see, penguins are a lot different from humans. For one, they have no neck. With human-like things like hair and a hoodie, it makes it seem like the penguin is just fat. The boa gives an illusion of a thinner neck, therefore making it look better by human standards. Other things such as scarfs also accomplish this.


Of course, it's different on the app. Noticed how the sunglasses and boa are not needed. The eyes aren't awkward on the app, so no sunglasses are needed. The neck is already thin on the app, so no boa is needed. As a matter of fact, boas actually are useless weather or not the penguin's neck is thick because they don't even cover the neck.

Of course! In the app, it may be the same items, but it's a completely different art style. Different items suit your penguin in different art styles. For example, diva glasses in regular club penguin are useful because they cover up the awkward eyes, but the eyes in the app look fine, great even, so sunglasses are useless.
